The “UL Approved DS Rating” for the Bobcat 743DS Skid Steer Loader refers to a certification by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) that the loader meets the “DS” rating under the UL/ANSI B56.1, NFPA 505 and and @SHA 29CFR 1910.178 standards for powered industrial trucks. Depending on, “Authority having jurisdiction,” type DS equipment can be used in locations which have certain hazardous materials designated per NFPA 505 and @SHA 29CFR 1910.178. Modification of loader or addition of nonapproved accessories may violate the DS rating. *For fire hazard only in compliance with ANSI-UL 558 standard for industrial trucks.
