The Cat D3 Next Generation small dozer builds on the legacy of the popular D5K2 model (part of the evolutionary line that began with the original Cat D3 dozer introduced in 1972), delivering enhanced performance, intuitive control, and cutting-edge technology in a compact, nimble package. Designed for both power and precision, the D3 excels in heavy dozing while offering the finesse needed for fine grading tasks. As part of Caterpillar’s initiative to simplify its naming conventions, the D3 replaces the D5K2 under a new unified numbering system ranging from D3 to D11. Despite the name change, the D3 retains all the strengths of its predecessor – and improves upon them with advanced features and broader capabilities.
