Cat SR321 Snow Blower

The SR321 is a heavy-duty snow-blower built to pair with skid steers, compact track loaders and compact wheel loaders essentially machines with high-flow hydraulics. From my many seasons working in cold-weather attachments, I can tell you this model is engineered for serious winter jobs – clearing large parking lots, driveways, access roads when the snow gets heavy and compacted.

Cat 270 Skid Steer Loader with SR321 Snow Blower

With a roughly 77-inch intake width and a robust built-weight of about 460 kg, it’s built to push big volumes of snow efficiently.

Cat SR321 Dimensions

A. Intake Width 77 in (1942 mm)
B. Overall Width 86 in (2181 mm)
C. Cutting Height 34 in (867 mm)
D. Overall Height 73 in (1843 mm)
E. Overall Length 37 in (951 mm)
Overall Height with Truck Chute 130 in (3302 mm)

On the service side, the SR321 packs in smart features that save downtime. The two-stage design with serrated auger and high-capacity impeller – lets the machine dig into dense or icy snow and then loft it out of the way. The chute rotates around 270 degrees so you can direct the throw to the side or front without repositioning the machine. The auger and impeller can also reverse hydraulically to clear blockages, which means less time climbing out and troubleshooting.

Cat SR321 Snow Blower Weight

What I always check when deploying this kind of attachment: first, the machine absolutely must have the hydraulic flow and pressure to match it the SR321 calls for high-flow (around 100-125 L/min) at around 200-280 bar.

Cat SR321 Required Hydraulics

Required CAT Hydraulics High Flow or HF XPS
Optimal Hydraulic Flow 26 – 33 gal/min (100 – 125 L/min)
Optimal Hydraulic Pressure 2800 – 4100 psi (19300 – 28270 kPa)

Next, matching the loader or wheel machine’s lift capacity and stability is key: the weight up front and the forces from throwing snow mean the host machine must be rated accordingly. Also, regular maintenance on wear items like the bolt-on cutting edge, skid shoes and chute liner makes a big difference in keeping performance consistent.
