Burn injuries are very common among employees at the restaurants. Employees who work in the kitchen are at risk of getting burned. Inexperience and pressure to "keep up" during busy period can and will lead to a potential accident. Hazards include exposure to: Steam, Hot oil, hot surfaces, hot food, hot stoves, grills, steamers, and fryers. Deep fryers are the number one cause of burns. Employers are responsible to provide and protect the safety and health of their workers. OSHA Standards must be followed.
